Nyame Dua is the “Tree of God” - The Altar

West African Adinkra symbol for God’s Presence and Protection.

The Nyame Dua is a sacred spot where rituals are performed. It is erected in front of a home of compound, crafted from a tree that has been cut from three or more branches. The stake holds a a earthenware vessel filled with water and herbs and other symbolic materials for purification and blessing rituals
